Can I talk about a silly insecurity I have for a minute? It’s pretty silly, and I completely acknowledge that it probably makes no sense. Anyways, I have never liked wearing anything on my wrists. Not bracelets, not watches, not anything. The reason for this being that my wrists are super tiny, I feel like nothing sits right on them, and everything I try to wear looks comically oversized. There, I said it. I know its ridiculous. Aside from my Fitbit, nothing has lived on my wrists in a long time due to that silly insecurity. Until now! I recently paired up with Jord, a company that makes wood watches, and I might just be a convert.
This story really starts two years ago, when my best friend got a wood watch from his girlfriend for Christmas. It was beautiful. Like I said, I don’t like watches on me because they all look so oversized (even when they aren’t supposed to be), but this one was just so cool! I am a huge sucker for natural materials, so the fact that it was wood was right up my alley. Along with the fact that it was such a statement piece, while still being pretty understated. It was great too, because even though it was a huge face, it looked awesome (he let me try it on). Even my boyfriend, now husband, loved it!
Fast forward to the present day. I gave up on my dreams of finding a wood watch that I loved, mostly due to the fact that until September, I had been saving for a wedding and all my extra funds had been going to that. Needless to say I was thrilled when I was presented with the opportunity to partner with Jord. My time has finally come, and I am now the proud owner of their gorgeous Frankie watch, in zebrawood and champagne.
Confession, I was a little taken aback when I first opened the box. The Frankie was a lot bigger than I had anticipated. My husband “kindly” offered to take it off my hands, but because I am stubborn and didn’t want to admit my mistake, I told him that I purposefully ordered the oversized watch. It must have been fate, because when I tried it on, I fell in love with it! It’s big, but somehow it totally works! The colors, and detail of the wood are beautiful, and I love that the champagne face goes with everything. My husband loved it too, so much that he tried to convince my friends at the cabin that it would look better on him. Sorry dude, this watch is mine! I actually even love how the oversized face looks on my comically tiny wrists.

Omg I have the same issue with my tiny wrists haha. Bracelets are always too big on me, so I normally don’t wear them! That’s great you were able to find a watch you love, though. It looks great! 🙂
Haha, the tiny wrist struggle is so real! I’m so surprised that I love this watch so much, because it is oversized, but it works!
