I can’t believe all the wonderful people I have met through blogging so far. In just three and a half short months I have made so many new friends. There is such a lovely community of creatives in the Seattle area, and I am so honored to know the ones I do! I finally got to meet the wonderful Nellie in person this last weekend, she is the genius behind Satire and Silk, and also an incredibly talented photographer! We went out to shoot for a few hours up at Volunteer Park, neither of us had been before, and after seeing so many great pictures from it, we were both itching to go!

We took advantage of the gorgeous Conservatory they have. I fangirled a little bit (a lot-a-bit) over the cactus and succulent room, and had so much fun wandering through all the different kinds of plants. I don’t think I’ve mentioned it yet, but I am a little bit plant obsessed, I have so many plant friends in my apartment (some might say too many, but not me!), and love seeing them growing and happy in places like that!

I wanted to wear a bunch of really fun stylized things for the greenhouse, and different areas of the park, so we ended up trucking around a huge bag of all kinds of clothes and accessories. To ensure that I was comfortable, and that it would be easy to change quickly when I wasn’t in beautiful flowy lace things, and badass edgy outfits, I opted for my Jag jeans because they are so easy to move around in. I paired my Sheridan Skinny Jeans with a slouchy salmon colored sweater, and my favorite Frye booties for the parts of the day that we were in transit, and hiking around the park. I love the distressing on the Sheridans, I think it adds a bit of a chic look to what would normally just be a great pair of skinny jeans. It ended working out well too because after a wonderful shoot with Nellie, I was immediately off to watch the Seahawks game with some friends! I was cozy and comfy the whole night, and the Seahawks beat the Panthers 40-7! So I would say all in all, it was everything that fantastic days are made of!
