My sister and I had the day off on Monday, and it was absolutely beautiful out! We decided to try and find a park that she had been to years ago in Woodinville, a town about five minutes east of us, and have a little picnic. We packed up some books, wine, and sunscreen and were off.
Luckily the park wasn’t too hard to find, that area has been built up so much over the last few years its almost unrecognizable. As soon as we parked we realized we had forgotten a blanket, oops. We ended up scrapping the picnic idea, and just wandered around the trails of the park with our wine.
Woodinville is our local wine country, they have around 140 wineries! Thats impressive because its not a big town. After we wandering the trails for a little while, we headed over to Triple Horn Brewing. Yes, we went to a brewery in wine country. I know nothing about wine, and I’m pretty sure Kiersten doesn’t either, but we are both huge beer people, so that is more our comfort zone.
I loved wearing this Anthropologie dress in the hot weather, it was so light and airy, that I stayed mostly cool in the 85 degree weather! I paired it with my new sun hat from Modcloth, and my brown Saltwater sandals. I actually bought this dress for my bachelorette party in a little over a month! We are glamping out at an artist’s commune on the coast, so I wanted something with a boho feel to it. I have really fallen in love with high necklines, like the one on this dress. They remind me so much of 90’s fashion (and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, yes!) and they are something I never thought I could pull off due to my shoulders being so broad. I am working on embracing my shoulders, instead of wearing things that minimize them. This dress was perfect for them!
